This is one of the cruelest things I’ve heard of Americans doing to other Americans, American children no less, in a long time. I think I’m a fairly cynical guy, but I gasped in disbelief when I read this.  

This is also not purely a Republican/red state/conservative thing. TERFs, eco-warriors, fringe racial advocacy groups-basically every demographic has a subset that said, “what if this, but also I hate trans people?”

So just like GA, the blue is focused on large towns and the state is gerrymandered to hell so you get crazier and farther right at the state house and senate levels as the party in power simply selects it’s voters.

She literally wrote up a well-researched post pointing out all of the many ways cars/trucks are a scourge in dense city centers and you immediately resorted to an anecdotal suburban diatribe about your personal fee-fees that has nothing to do with what she’s talking about and in at least one case argues against a thing…

Vehicle bans are pretty easy to enforce with physical restrictions - concrete barriers etc. They’d probably go and clog up a freeway instead of a downtown area.
