And murders his children and servants, who weren’t even a part of the bet. They don’t get a happy ending, because apparently they weren’t worth bothering about.

Ah yes, the undispellable “Remove coolness” enchantment. I had that one active most of my early life.
Basically “PAY ATTENTION TO ME I AM A BIG BOY!”
And what’s especially frustrating is that it’s impossible to tell when he’s basically doing something with no purpose whatsoever, just a whim or a temper tantrum. Joe Biden was never my ideal candidate, but I’m very much looking forward to a president who doesn’t feel the need to grab everyone’s attention every single…
Could be, but I think it could also be an attempt to sabotage the whole bill by making demands that he KNOWS McConnell won’t agree to. Then, if they don’t revisit the bill, he can veto it and pretend he has a good reason. I’m not sure why he would want to kill the bill, but I could imagine its an attempt to screw over…
I think I read some of his anti-D&D stuff.
I know this isn’t the point of this post, but the idea that God is going to torture people forever because they didn’t like him enough, or didn’t like him the right way, is just deeply fucked up. The idea that this would be good, rather than pathetic and needy, is also deeply fucked up. I know lots of religious people…
Maybe they both did? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitt_Romney_dog_incident. Perhaps it was a thing?
Also the dog on the roof of the car story.
You know, given how awful his ideas and values are, I kind consider it a blessing that he was also lazy and incompetent. But point take, the guy has all the time and energy in the world for tweeting, sucking up to Putin, and trying to destroy democracy, not so much for addressing the pandemic.
God, the GOP will always find a way to be even more cartoonishly evil. “We can’t help struggling Americans because the deficit ... oh, but let’s ensure that rich people don’t actually have to pay taxes.”
Guardians was the name selected? They’ll always Spacey McSpacefaces to me.
Is “don’t masturbate in front of your coworkers” really a fragile boundary? Sounds pretty solid to me.

The cops who allowed a civilian to pull a gun on someone based on these ridiculous conspiracy theories should be fired, unless they were actively intervening to try to stop him.
Right, put the ball in their court. Worst case scenario, they refuse to work with him and take (even more) ownership of the gridlock.
That could definitely be the case. As much as I would love Biden to be able to peel off Republican moderates by trying to be as graceful as possible in his victory, but I don’t know how realistic that is. On the other hand, I hope his embrace of Republicans convinces some Trump supporters that the party isn’t worth…
I don’t think there’s any harm with making rhetorical moves like this, as long as he 1) understands that there are things that he just cannot compromise on and 2) doesn’t put too much faith in the decency, honesty, or goodwill of the GOP. Personally, I think he’s almost certainly wrong, and that Republicans will do…
Super frustrating. Academia gives way too much power to unaccountable (largely white, male) professors, and so many of them are quick to abuse it. And then there’s the old “I can’t be sexist, I’m a democrat and I teach at a university, you’re just repressed”.
She didn’t know he was a former leader in the KKK. She thought he was still current and is pissed that she wasted her time on a has-been.
