If all you have is $5k and you need a car that won’t catch fire on your first day of ownership, it’s down to Hyundai or Kia. Both will be miserable little shitboxes (at least the ones from the early 2000’s), both will be running long after you start wishing it would finally die.

Do not support corporate villains. Walmart is one of the worst. Buy things elsewhere, preferably from a local business that supports the local economy and not the greedy billionaires in the Walton family. If there is no other option, do without things when you can.
