Yeah, it sounds to me like WB made the bad decision of putting out a trailer that had nothing to do with the tone the director of the movie was trying to achieve. It’s the worst kind of spineless asshattery to then say “Oh, well let’s change to move to be more like the trailer, OK?”

I’d like to know how they do that.

Marvel is a comic company. They aren’t ashamed of comic books. They respect them and have faith that what fans love about comics can carry a movie.

I think the ‘failures’ of the DC movies so far demonstrates how difficult it is to not only make a good comic book movie and shared universe, but how masterful Marvel is at it.
