I keep saying I’m going to do this.
Oh, there’s plenty of CGI. It’s all just aged remarkably well, especially compared to the effects of other movies made at the time.
Absolutely horrific, inaccurate clickbait. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for the unmitigated dreck you’ve been putting out recently. This time, I’m out for good. Fuck this. Fuck you.
If it keeps a pay check away from Tim Allen then I’m game
I thought Turning Red was pretty top tier stuff but that could be because the Mom reminds me of my Mom
You’re right on every point. In a weird way, it felt like it hamstrung itself with that very strange opening title card, or even connecting it to Toy Story in the first place.
I keep seeing the word Pogues and my mind drifts off to the band. Guess I'll be listening to Band Played Waltzing Matilda now.
It was SO obviously a joke
And yet, it doesn’t matter if people are “reporting” on it cynically or vehemently or anything in between, people are talking about the M&Ms ad campaign, and everyone gets to write yet another article about it. Sounds like a pretty successful ad campaign to me.
I’m just glad AV Club sniffed this out from the beginning. Outlets like CNN and New York Times took the bait hard and were uncritically reporting that M&Ms was making the change.
The Limey is my favorite of his films, so I would have topped a list with it, but I can’t argue Out of Sight. That’s probably my second. The top five here is pretty solid, though Traffic does nothing for me.
Good pull. I’d go with this scene though:
That’s. . .a mighty short obituary for someone who had that long of a career.
I’d go with Rick Moranis serenading his wife in her classroom in Parenthood. She’s leaving him because he’s such a hyper-structured ball of stress, and so this is way beyond the bounds of his comfort zone. It’s more than just being willing to endure some public embarrassment.
Yes, The Replacements! Where is it?
If The Waterboy is going to be on here, then Necessary Roughness and The Replacements should clearly make the cut. They’re both far better.
Couldn’t disagree more with Rudy being #1, but I know I’m in the minority so I can accept it. HOWEVER, how do you completely leave off Necessary Roughness?
The Replacements is a glaring omission.
the guys who did “The Play That Goes Wrong” now have “Peter Pan Goes Wrong” set for broadway
