It’s possible that you are not wrong about this particular thing. That’s just the name of the podcast. However, it’s highly likely that there are aspects of the case you might not have considered at the time.

I mean, people still write about the French revolution and stuff. You don’t have to have actually lived through something to research and discuss it. And anyway, for those of us who were adults then, how much do we really know? I was working, not following every moment of the coverage.

One problem is that generative AI could replace people who thought they carried out work that was uniquely and essentially human: creative work. Furthermore, the people who do this work do not think or their jobs as crap jobs.

The older I get, the more I think we need adults playing the parts of children. This just isn’t a good place for kids.

One of the only times I have felt like walking out of the theatre during a trailer. However, tickets to Dune Part Two were hard to come by, so I suffered through it.

The micro-organisms thing WAS ridiculous. I’ll give you that. But then again, these guys were crap. If they were willing to fake pollution numbers, no surprise if they were willing to fake their own findings.

What surprises me is that people watch the entirety of a show that they clearly do not enjoy. Who has time for that? If I don’t like something, I stop watching. This is a great practice, and allows me to focus my time on things that I enjoy doing (or chores).

On the other hand ... certain Pixar movies make me cry, a lot, like ugly, really ugly, cry. I prefer to do that at home. (Seriously. Turning Red spoke to me very deeply. My daughter had to console me as I rocked back and forth sobbing.)

I feel like there was a time when it first came out that it was really fun, and then it got a bit annoying through overplay (but tbh, no more annoying than many other staples). It is nowhere near as annoying as Last Christmas, whose popularity has always been a mystery to me. It was the top Christmas song in the UK…

None will top this MadTV classic.

And another thing, I fully admit to being sick and tired by “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer”, but it’s a pretty darn popular sing that gets a lot of airplay every year. It’s weird to include it on a list of songs most people have never heard of (at least not in the versions listed here) and never get any radio…

I’ve never heard the Weather Girls song before, and it’s fantastic. The vocal performances alone should put it on a best-of list. How is the third worst Christmas song ever?

The only thing that made me sad was that Donna became a more fully realized version of her (awesome) self during her time with the Doctor. I was sorry she had to lose that growth.

I think it would be easier to put his films in bins: 1) truly extraordinary and ground-breaking, 2) pretty damn good, 3) competent, and 4) disappointing (but only in light of his other stuff).

Watched the first two episodes last night. It’s good! Looking forward to seeing more of my lizard relatives.
