Huh. I did not realize how many Thanksgiving-themed horror movies there are (and by that I mean overt, intentional horror, not the everyday horror of Thanksgiving). “Thankskilling” anyone?

Heh, “Ernest Scared Stupid” is a lot better than it has any right to be (or needs to be.) It has a narratively coherent plot, an original and interesting monster, plenty of decent (if juvenile) gags, and Eartha Kit.

There was a great adaptation of this in 1995 with a young Carla Gugino as Nan.

Such a lovely piece about a lovely, gracious women.

I don’t come to movies for set pieces, and I found the acting and humor in La Totale! more to my taste. But I agree to disagree.

La Totale! is absolutely great, and the remake is so similar that you can watch the original without subtitles and without knowing a word of French and still understand everything that is happening. True Lies is beat for beat exactly the same move. Bonus: the star of La Totale!, Thierry Lhermitte, is extremely

Full disclosure, there will be no pleasing me. It’s one of my favorite fairytales.

So, it sounds like this has absolutely nothing to do with the fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson called “The Marsh King’s Daughter”, which I find very disappointing, because that story kicks ass.

There is an excellent audiobook tie-in with this (yet to be released) adaptation. The audiobook includes a new forward by King himself talking about his inspirations for the novel and just his life in general (childhood, early career, etc.). I listened to the introduction and book in its entirety during one long drive

The movies started out middling and were getting progressively worse more baffling with each installment. No other explanation needed. End of story.

Her father is portrayed as being a really nice, supportive guy in another scene, the one told from the point of view of Sharon Tate. Maybe Cliff is the asshole?

I think she should produce and act in whatever she wants to and whatever she can gather the funding for. That said, she was just fine in American Psycho.

I think Radcliffe has the chops, but the big difference is the world watched him literally grow up in the role of Harry Potter. Ford was an adult when he got his first iconic role, and when he started interchanging it with a second iconic role, they were just similar enough that the transition worked. He also never

Is “kinda” being used sarcastically here? He is Marvel level buff in those pictures. Also, I would not characterize this as being “for no reason”. His current role calls for him to be nearly naked pretty frequently, so it’s no surprise that he might want to get buff.

I don’t think he was an asshole for being honest about not being ready to be a father, and without any other information, they should both be held equally responsible for the pregnancy (and I am not implying assault, but sometimes condoms are removed without a partners knowledge). However, knowing that there was a

The speech frequency did increase, but I still think the speech-per-minute-running time was lower than in his other projects. Someone with more patience than me can do that measurement.

I’m only two episodes into Fall of the House of Usher, but so far I like it more than Hill House. Two words: Fewer speeches. Knowing that people are going to get killed is not a deal breaker for me. That only matters the first time you watch something anyway. A show should be watchable even if you know every single

The Julie Taymor adaptation of Hop Frog was quite good. It’s called Fool’s Fire.

Can’t they get it after the show?

Still a waste of money.
