And “The Cotton Club”. Where’s that? This seem like a list of films the writer could remember off of the top off their head put in some kind of order. Rigor, people. I want rigor.

Huh. I had no idea that “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” was abysmal. You’d think I would have noticed that when I watched it.
“I’ve Gotta Hunch I’m Gonna Be King”
I think Roman totally letting Ken down on the S1 vote of no confidence and then picking him up (without being asked) from the scary meth house a few weeks later is a perfect example of that. They are brothers from the world’s least functional family, but they are brothers nonetheless.
I just watched the trailer, and it was pretty darn charming. I see no indication that this thing is set in Pennsylvania. Best I can tell it’s supposed to be a prequel to the movie, which would put it in LA (which is also more consistent with the diversity of the characters).
There were Asian people living in lots of different parts of the country long before the civil rights movement, and many of them were highly assimilated. Since in many cases they may have been the only Asian family around, their kids were mostly likely friends with white kids. This is not to say there were no…
Well, there’s diverse and there’s diverse. There were 4 Asian kids in my large high school outside of Washington, DC, when I attended in the early 80s, so that does not make it all that diverse, but they were there. (I happen to be married to one of them now, and I was pretty good friends with the rest of them.) My…
Just FYI, many Japanese Americans moved to Pennsylvania after WWII. They represented a small percentage of the total population, but they were there. https://www.pacificcitizen.org/a-philadelphia-story/
Is there any such thing as a slow news day in pop culture?
Not to be disrespectful of this woman’s passing, but what exactly is the bar for who gets an obit on this site?
Um, is Phoenix OK?
Adult Shauna was able to effortlessly con all of her adult Yellowjacket crew regarding Adam. “I thought he loved me.” Even they underestimate her, and really, they should know better.
While I agree this would be an interesting plot twist, the baby making it out of the woods alive seems like a nearly impossible stretch. Sweet seeming adult Shauna is, in reality, the darkest character on the show. There is an empty pit inside of that woman, and I think part of that comes from having killed and eaten…
Seeing as they are not exactly in their rights minds when they start eating Jackie and the ratio of diners to Jackie meat is quite large (she was pretty thin even at the start of the trip), I don’t think there will be much to save.
The whole progression of events from fully clothed, partially frozen corpse to hairless, naked, evenly cooked roast long-pig is a bit sketch (quite a bit), but I think we need to suspend disbelief. Also, some of the diners may indeed get sick the next day for a whole variety of reasons.
It was Coach Ben. It’s hard for him to get around.
Shauna is easily the most dangerous character, because 1) she is not crazy, 2) she has no limits, and 3) she seems harmless. Remember the way she caught and skinned that rabbit last season?
It seemed like they were making his face look very thin in that brief scene, so I agree that he probably starves to death, or nearly so before he is killed. Perhaps they will convince themselves it’s a mercy killing.
I’m ready to become visible and boot the damn Boomers out of the C suites before I reach retirement age, thank you very much.
Fuckin’ everybody forgets that Gen X exists. Stand by Me is a solidly Gen X movie in which everyone in the primary cast is a Gen Xer.
