Agreed. Even if there are more movies (prequels, sequels, etc.), they don’t really constitute a “universe” separate from the actual universe unless they branch out more and have their own mythology.

Cristin beating Lonmouth to death does make sense from a plot perspective. Lonmouth, on a hunch, walked up to him and essentially said “I have dirt on you that could get you castrated and tortured.
