no you dont. characters literally say it multiple times in the movie. they even use it as an excuse to why the Illuminati had to kill their Strange. Strange and Wong tell Wanda this when they try to talk her down in Kamar-Taj.

Wanda’s grief was amplified and turned to ‘madness’ by her exposure to the The Darkhold, just like we saw how The Darkhold turned an other universe Stephen Strange. I thought the movie it that very obvious.

I thought they did a pretty good job of trying it out in Eternals. One of the brighter spots of that film.

People ask the question of what’s next after Endgame while missing that Phases 1-3 took 10 years of storytelling to get there. It was 6 years before Thanos actually had a line of dialogue in Guardians of the Galaxy and he only appeared in about 1/6th of the movies released in that time, mostly as cameos.

If this were sports, this would be the rebuild year(s). The old pros have moved on, time to introduce new heroes, greater threats, etc. The only downside, unlike the comics, that this takes so much time. It will be years before we get another End Game payoff.
