Eh. No defense for Tesla, but new cars are pretty much always delivered dirty to the dealership, where they are then “detailed” (usually piss-poorly, but better than nothing). With no dealership experience to speak of, and cars delivered directly to customers, they’re getting dirty cars.

Polish, wrap, PPF, tint, ceramic coat, etc. Common things for people to do delivery week of a new car

Drive mode selector is actually something I don’t mind being in a submenu on the touch screen. With maybe an automatic switch from sport to rain if the wipers are on high enough for long enough.

How has it taken this LONG to finally realize this lol. This is 100% proof of why FSD has always been utter bullshit. If it can’t do it in what amounts to a 100% controlled environment, what makes anyone think it can do it on a public road.

Ask me how many times I’ve gone to change the radio volume and gotten the “you can’t shift into reverse right now” warning.

I mean, in most states (if not all) tinting the actual windshield IS illegal. Whether it’s enforced to any degree is another matter.

But even most drivers of electric Ford and Rivian models do not yet have access to Tesla chargers because the companies have not received enough adapters from Tesla.

CEOs are immortal unicorns in their minds

I moved cross country once for far less money, it wouldn’t kill him to just move.

Hate to see them go but nothing lasts forever.  Even though Clarkson proved to be a massive knob, there will probably never be a trio of hosts that top these guys.

The problem I grew to have with Top Gear was that it got soooo repetitive- the increasing focus on crazy horsepower and cars that are, let’s face it, mostly undrivable off a race track. Driving on top gear devolved into smokey drifts and burnouts in unatainable million dollar supercars.

Thank you for all you’ve done.

Clarkson’s been in Top gear forever, but the new format in the early 2000s was peak automotive entertainment. I don’t think any other show will make cars come alive in the way that they did. Even my parents who are general car people, they like em but not obsessively like me enjoyed the heck out of that show.

Saw what you will about Stellantis and the Gladiator, but RIP to the guy that lost his life. No one deserves to die a sudden, presumably painful death while on the clock trying to provide for his family.

So expensive for what is, let’s face it, a mini-van.

Boeing keeps doing Boeing things. The fact that the capsule failed on its first flight is too funny.

I’m genuinely curious if these trucks should carry a “hazardous materials” marker at all times, due to the battery packs, forcing them to take “hazardous materials” driving routes at all times. Normally, any truck carrying this kind of load, that can catch on fire like this, be impossible to put out, burn this hot,

Therein lies the problem. I want a touring/wagon. I do not want to spend extra on an M or AMG or RS of a “luxury” (read: $$$) brand.

Supply and demand, baby. Same price structure on cruise ships and movie theaters. And in defense of the gas station, a little pre-planning with fueling up before driving into the desert and traveling with plenty of water is simple common sense.
