Boeing’s 737 Max aircraft can’t catch a break right now after a door plug blew out the side of one of the planes mid-flight early last year. Since then, the plane was caught up in a government probe into safety concerns at Boeing and another bird strike meant that a 737 Max couldn’t pressurize back in November.

The problem is, the pilots have no way of knowing just how bad the damage was. Maybe it’s just a big mess, maybe it damaged a hydraulic line, or downlock, or would jam up and freeze after 3 hours at altitude and prevent the nose gear from extending. If ammonia based cleaners contact the adhesives used in automotive to apply films such as tints they’ll cause bubbling, clouding, and seperation as they break down the glue. Perfectly fine for house windows unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer, though.
