They knew.

Mechanical shifting has made amazing strides in the last few years. That said, I’d be happy to swap out the mechanical shifters on my MTB with wireless- the difference between wireless shifting on an MTB and mechanical is like the difference between hydraulic brakes and mechanical- there’s just so much less effort in

Good news: nobody is forcing you.

Yea but do you really think the average car owner is storing 2 cans of gas and rotating it out every 6 months to keep it within its shelf life? I guarantee you, the person proactive enough to do something like that, would also be proactive enough to be well clear of any hurricane so large that a typical EV’s range

People rarely buy the car they need. If most people were honest with themselves a Honda Civic would cover 85% of most people’s daily usage.

If anything.... bidirectional energy switching with them may be a big bonus for them. Run your house off one for a few days? Might save food in the fridge and for uh hot places.... you from melting.

Trying to use a CT to do actual truck things...

Depreciation: then go buy a slightly used EV that has already been hit with the depreciation hammer. That’s what I did and with the $4k tax credit it was a fantastic deal!

Well I’m not excited about buying from dealerships that aren’t falling over themselves to figure out how to land 5-6 $figure EV sales that should be easy money due to the affluent customer demographic and giant government subsidies.

i’m loving all these “expert” opinions. i have a good deal of experience in recovering vehicles here in the rockies and i can tell you that the vast majority of these awd vehicles can do 70-80 of the stuff out there, especially with a trained and capable driver. the problem i see is the way these vehicles are

Honestly it looks like a Subaru Wilderness with X Mode would do that just fine. Have you SEEN some of the trails people take those over? Other than height clearance they are very capable unless you want to do some steep/very rocky climbing.

Hi, its me again. So one good reason why this is a terrible way to prevent unsuitable vehicles on difficult trails is that “AWD” is NOT a good distinction and its out of date.

With modern vehicles this seems like a difficult thing to enforce. Modern AWD systems have come very far and can transfer power in ways 4WD vehicles cant. While a 4WD can split power equally some AWD can force greater than 50% to a specific tire if another is slipping. My 4Runner and my Sequia can do this on top of

Uh, Fein for president in 2028? This dude knows how to lay it down and counter the lies with facts and specific details.  I have lots of respect for this guy after reading the speech.

The only person allowed to get off Vance’s couch is Vance.

He could have stopped at

You’re asking what a guy who’s been a UAW member for nearly 30 years knows about the auto industry? Seriously? He didn’t step off a bus and immediately get elected UAW president.

I wonder if Fain’s relative popularity, and Walz’s union credit, will get the Teamsters off the fence.

“Hey Kamala - how are the couches in there?”

I’ll reserve judgement till I  read a statement from the CEO.
