My 2013 Land Cruiser isn't "smart" like new cars, but I can change the tilt of the headlights manually. When city driving, I'll point them down. When on open roads, I'll roll them back up to normal. 

Not to mention, you still have to build the stupid amount of road infrastructure to handle everyone driving into work solo every morning.

Your city is definitely not too small for transit. For example, Stuttgart German has a population of ~600k and has a very robust transit system....despite being the home for two of Germany’s most renowned automotive companies.

Off-roaders usually want the smallest wheel diameter possible, in order to give more space to taller tires.

Minneapolis (and most of Europe incl Scandinavia) all have pretty decent bike ridership, and their climate is pretty cold/snowy in the winter...with Minneapolis being on an entirely different echelon of cold.

As someone living in Denver w/o AC (getting fixed when I’m out of town in 2 weeks), I would like to disagree that CO doesn’t need AC as much. :P
