"I see.... SLYTHERIN!!!"
My hope: The eventual integration of Miiverse functionality into the 3DS and all future games.
Ethan, I have an honest question for you... do you feel that in-game purchases and "Free to Play" models for game design could be considered a new form of DRM? In an industry plagued with piracy and used game sales, we've seen developers and publishers alike try to recover some of the lost revenue through some pretty…
Semi-related, but the thing that creeps me out the most about Japanese/Korean horror films isn't the whole "hair covering the face" trope, but when they use contortionists to play the ghosts. Seeing a freaky-ass dead girl crawling down a flight of stairs with her elbows cracking is creepy, but knowing that there were…
If I may take a moment just to gush a bit, hehe. Earthbound has been one of only a few RPG's I've played through not only to the end, but then played again several times over. Yet unlike games like Chrono Trigger with multiple endings, Earthbound had just one outcome, but getting there was a freakin' blast.
Lindblom, if you read these comments, you should know good and well that your work on this game was loved and appreciated by one of the most diehard, dedicated fanbases the gaming industry has ever seen. The fact that it is doing so well now on the Virtual Console is proof enough of how much good word had built up…
The very fact that people don't immediately recognize Kraid as a staple of Metroid villainy is one of Nintendo's biggest failing points with the franchise.
Step 1. An Oculus Rift laptop setup, rigged as a backpack.
Step 2. A flight on the Zero-G "Vomit Comet."
Step 3. SUPERMAN.
Cue the raving masses who claim mobile gaming will be the death of dedicated handhelds like the 3DS and Vita.
I do have a thicker skin, now. This happened over 10 years ago before I had even encountered the whole "yiff in hell" cliche. Nowadays I don't give two craps about if people have a problem with me drawing anthro characters, and won't waste a moment to counter-troll people who try to troll me. I just didn't know how to…
This needs to play if you lose.
Huhuhuhuh. Hey look, it's Diarrhea.
Dammit, don't give them any ideas!! If there is ever a Muppet level/figures released for this, I will finally be unable to resist dropping cash for the whole damn thing.
I'm planning on picking up a few of the figures just for the sake of having them on my drawing desk — particularly the Wreck-It Ralph set once it releases. They look pretty freakin' detailed.
"Just picture it! All those kids are going to turn on their systems, hoping to jump in and kill bad guys with the brave and powerful Mr. Incredible... but when their system jams up or refuses to play in local co-op, which console is going to swoop in and save the day?? "
I do know where you're coming from, but I don't quite share the sentiment. I feel more like our choices (yours and mine) are just different paths to the same outcome. You shouldn't look at others who went to a for-profit school like SCAD with disdain by default; doing so automatically lessens their worth as an artist…
I went to SCAD for Sequential Art (comics) and I can honestly say that the vast majority of students who stuck through to get their degrees were some of the most talented and hard-working people I've ever met. The ones who "paid money to feel like a real artist" typically dropped out within a year or two when they…
Yup, same. It always seemed to hit around finals time. Eight years attending that school and I never once was able to participate in the festival. If they had moved it back just ONE WEEK it would have been perfect...
A couple years back they started doing this special 2-hour block on TeenNick called "The 90's are All That" where they just aired old 90's Nickelodeon shows. But then they made it to where people had to log in on Facebook to vote for which shows they wanted to see in each block, which means the actual content was…
