I'd like to see if it has the capability to test liquids of different viscosities. Do everything from water and oil to tar and lava, and throw a Nickelodeon GAK test in there just for the hell of it.

Darksiders is now owned by the Alan Wake people?

Indie developers are still making new SNES and Genesis cart releases, too. Consoles can and will continue to get new titles long after their creators stop making them. But they won't be official releases, let alone first-party supported titles.
But hey, at least there's 8 different Monsterboy games on Genesis and Game Gear to play in the meantime, right?
It also hasn't been around that long yet. Once the VC launches on the Wii U side, things will hopefully pick up the pace.
Yes, here's hoping. It's discouraging that the entire roster of games they've released so far won't be immediately available on the Wii U, so they're essentially starting over from scratch. I'm hoping they focus their attention more on strictly Nintendo properties, since there were a LOT of classic titles that got…
They haven't released any SNES games onto the 3DS yet, so I don't see why people are complaining about this one. The 3DS virtual console is almost exclusively for handheld VC releases, with the occasional NES "3D Classics" remake or general release. The Wii U will be the home for main console VC games. I've never…
The pretty much did that awhile ago. I can't remember when was the last time the original Wii's VC was updated. Their focus is entirely on the 3DS and Wii U now, but that really shouldn't surprise anyone. From a business standpoint it doesn't make sense to keep releasing content on what they consider a dying platform.…
I always figured it was more of an issue of Earthbound's poor sales figures when the cart originally released stateside. Admittedly, as beloved and well-remembered as the game has been over the past 17 years, initially it did very poorly sales-wise. This is likely why they never bothered to bring the English…
I'm pretty much the same way, but I usually enjoy the freedom that comes with it (key word: usually. I also get way too easily distracted by too much freedom). I mean, even the old SNES RPG's weren't always strictly linear. Most of them had a moment where the game world suddenly burst wide open and you were given the…
The people who try to base a game's quality on whether the graphics are "cute and kiddy" are only hurting themselves, because they are missing out on some of the best games out there. I've known far too many who will tear apart great game series like Katamari Damacy or Ratchet & Clank, only to then turn around and…
"I'm GUESSING I want to hit him in the tail."
Sorry, but THIS is his final form. The video above is just his intermediate evolution.
Hey, that's perfectly fine. Nothing ever gets universal praise.
A system bundle is a big deal when it includes a variation of the system with a custom paint job. Look at the recent Pikachu-themed bundle or the Zelda collector's edition 3DS, and how much either of them are going for online.
It's significant in that it is the first time Nintendo has acknowledged the game's existence at all since its initial release in 1995. Add to that the fact that Europe never saw an official release of the game at all.
Right now? Lego City Undercover and Monster Hunter 3, with a bit of the VC launches mixed in (F-Zero and Punch-Out). Also Need for Speed Most Wanted U, which is the definitive version — if you play with the pro controller, the gamepad turns into a built-in game genie/map. It's pretty brilliant.
Nintendoland. ZombiU. Lego City Undercover. Monster Hunter 3. Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed. Need For Speed Most Wanted U (the definitive version — drive with the pro controller, and the gamepad transforms into a built-in game genie/map). Playing games on the gamepad. The Miiverse's incredibly diverse and talented…
To a lot of people (myself included), it was. Again, it's because of Earthbound's history and how dedicated fans have been to the game for almost two whole decades now.
