I bought a Wii U day one, and I don't regret it one bit. It's my new favorite primary console. I haven't touched my 360 or PS3 except for Borderlands 2 and watching BluRay movies, respectively.

Confirmation of the Animal Crossing 3DSXL bundle for North America.
I still have my original SNES cart, the player's guide, and the scratch & sniff cards intact. And I'll be buying the VC release on day one for the very same reason. Showing support for the series will prove to Nintendo that it's worth investing in future releases, and could even sway them towards an official…
It's not like you couldn't just go down to your local thrift shop and buy the original SNES version at any point in the past 15 years or so.
Indeed! To summarize: EARTHBOUND EHRMAGERRDDDD :D :D :D :D
Soooo simply because it's not coming to a system you already own, you are writing it off as completely unimportant. I wasn't aware Nintendo's practices were entirely graded on the scale of "will Mildare be able to buy it?"
This is absolutely a step in the right direction. Everyone needs to buy Earthbound when it releases. Show Nintendo that love for the series is strong enough to warrant an official localization.
YES INDEED. I saw it live on the stream come from Iwata himself and I still don't believe it.
I take it you don't understand how freaking HUGE the announcement of Earthbound on both the US AND EUROPEAN virtual consoles is to the general gaming community. Seriously. It's so important it could have warranted its own dedicated Nintendo Direct, but they just casually tossed it in.
Oddly enough, I completely followed that.
You and me both, dude. I'm sitting here at work watching the stream and I had to turn so my coworkers wouldn't see me getting all emotional over it, LOL.
My mind is still reeling from all these announcements. I was totally expecting the Nintendo Direct to be a completely benign filler of games we already knew existed. Instead, Nintendo just dropped like a dozen bombs all at once.
I'm still sitting here in shock that it actually was announced. Holy CRAP.
I think the biggest problem with Other M's approach is that instead of simply making her look frightened, they went to the extreme and made her a terrified little girl underneath the armor. If you want a good example of powerful female characters who stay badass even while visibly terrified, look at Sarah Connor, or…
I freakin' loved Return of Samus. I remember slaughtering that game in middle school when it came out. I couldn't stop playing it.
It's already established as the grittiest Nintendo series, true. But it's still pretty bright and colorful, as most Nintendo series go.
This guy could not sound less enthusiastic about his accomplishment. It's like if Droopy Dog were an engineer.
This makes me wish wholeheartedly for a darker-toned Metroid game. With the whole trend of "gritty reimagining" right now, it's the one series that would really benefit from it. Though the likelihood of that actually happening with Nintendo's blessing.... sigh.
Wow, two months later...
