The bigger question is if Nora basically jumped sideways to a parallel dimension (which was heartbreaking to think her family over there was considered the lucky ones since they only lost ONE person i.e Nora), then where was Kevin going when he kept dying?

I agree with your sentiment in general and I certainly couldn’t care about this, but I can tell you where the vast majority of complainers are coming at it from. It’s the simple fact that if it were a male only showing there would absolutely be feminists lining up to castigate anyone and everyone that supported it.

You raise a fair point. They want to celebrate inclusion of women by excluding men, even if it is for one showing.

I’ve got zero problems with this screening. We do need more representation for women - recently while shopping for Paw Patrol apparel for my 3 yr old son, the 5 boy dogs were everywhere and he asked where Skye was. And damn it if she and Everest were only on “girl” pink apparel. Even on a Paw Patrol unisex luggage

Oh, gosh that would have been great. Or even betterer, they reform scarred Barry, he gets to live with Iris, and young Barry goes into the speed force trap to becomes Savitar. That keeps the timeline intact, we get a season of Emo Barry gradually becoming better, and Iris learning to see the good man inside.

It started out as: “He’s a god of speed who challenges speedsters when they’re fast enough; he has a cult that has worshipped him for centuries; he’s pissed off by Flashpoint and is giving people their Flashpoint powers back; he’s powered by the philosopher’s stone.” By the end we got: “Oh, uhh, he’s a loveless Barry

To think 80's PG-13 had tits and blood.

I’ve asked it before and I’ll ask it again: Would the humans really be acting any differently without the alien influence?

a) She’s a working model. No other model would turn down a starring role in a Pepsi spot preceded by Cindy Crawford, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears etc. If this were any other 21-year-old model in the world, the outrage would be directed at PepsiCo, where it belongs. b) Things don’t exist in a vacuum. Context and

Right? Real activists are getting pepper sprayed, hit with night sticks, tasered, and hauled off to jail. And Pepsi tried to make a cheap buck off “tapping into the energy of the movement” in the most tone-deaf way possible. But you are the real victim here, Kendall. Go to Paris and try to recover, you poor thing.

Is this secretly just Superman’s Fortress of Solitude?

Yes, they made an action figure of it too.

That’s what I came here to say. This was DEFINITELY the huge bat creature that was featured in the nightmare you described.

Wasn’t that actually in the movie?

Either: (a) that not enough non-African-American POC were nominated or (b) not enough POC won in the categories in which they were nominated.

So what you are saying is the the OA with a Latino-Asian and Asian-Trans person, wasn’t diverse enough for you. I guess they didn’t tick enough of the required diversity boxes.

the cyborgified sister gave me nightmares for years after seeing that as a kid.

Why should they make a female Dracula when there is a perfectly appropriate female Gothic vampire available?

I’m guessing that was what the line about “my mother, she was always finding new ways use my story to make a buck” was supposed to imply. That, in this world, the original film and its sequels are dramatizations of the “real story”, based off the mother selling the rights for money?
