How fucked up is it that they couldn’t even trust her to do the right thing and had to essentially bribe her to give a person of color a chance. 

When the Me Too movement was in full force my team promoted several women to full time positions (that were super impossible to come by normally). Only they made it painfully obvious it was something the company did as a response to pad their women/men full timer ratio.

When I read they actually gave them money specifically to hire people of color that raised my eyebrows. Like, you can’t even trust your hiring managers to do the right thing when it’s a company policy... you have to bribe them with not having to use their budget to hire a Black person.
