Thanks :) No one prepares you for the amount of regret, but that’s why it’s important to do this work with a trained professional. It took me a long time to just be able to look at pictures of my kids when they were younger again. EMDR therapy was immensely helpful for replacing those bad memories with the good things…

I’d prefer to err on the side of caution and not hope my 2 year old ends up floating, but that’s just me I guess.

I still won’t even consider taking my family to Yellowstone because I know how kids are and it’s only takes a momentary lapse of attention to have one of them being boiled alive.
