The sad part is she was probably thinking of the officer’s safety as well, not wanting to force him to be so close to the road. And, seeing as how this was in Arkansas, I’ll bet she supports (supported?) the police.

Pretty lame, and it’s caused me to just not view replies because I don’t have time to scroll and click to figure out which comment someone starred or replied to. I’m sure that’s losing them some ad views and overall engagement numbers.

I wonder if they’ll go into how Congress gave former Mexicans, who were settled in the land that Mexico would cede to the US, the shaft by scribbling out the part of the treaty that would grant them US citizenship and letting white people basically steal their land. I’m going to say that’s probably a big fat no.

If they absolutely had to have something vintage-ish and cool for this kid, maybe—maybe an old rusty Jeep Cherokee XJ like our own David Tracy might have in his yard or possibly an El Camino, but even that’s pushing it.

For us it’s bunnies. This time of year the local wild bunnies start having babies and it’s impossible to keep our cats 100% indoors (kids are incapable of keeping doors closed). So, several times a week in late spring we’ll hear a “EEK EEK EEK EEK” and know that it’s time to grab the hamper and catch another baby…

If the goal is to make her appealing to moderate Republicans then I can see this working. The point is the Biden administration needs to control the narrative around immigration and taking a more conservative stance takes the air out of the room for the GOP’s draconian policies.

As someone who is introverted and has bit of social anxiety, these types of things are dicey because I suddenly have a personality and actually want to talk to people after a few drinks. People I work with literally never see that side of me, so I definitely stand out. 

Sadly, Gaetz knows the Democrats (and I’m sure a few others) are hoping he’ll resign out of shame because the last four years has shown us that Congress is incapable of enforcing any of its rules.
