I don’t even really consider Madness as a ska band. They were kind of a pop/novelty act that who piggybacked off the sound. Even then, their sound was kinda weak if you really like ska. Great pop songs though!

What ruined ska for me was when the churchies took it over. Like every other genre they latched on to, they kept the music but threw away everything else that made it great.

Well, at least is seems like their audit trail works... as long as someone bothers to check it.
