The focus on roughing the QB was either last year or the year before, so the reffs are free to ignore it now.

Nope, it’s on the refs. If they’re not going to enforce a particular rule, then why wouldn’t a team take advantage? If they weren’t calling, say, pass interference, then why wouldn’t the corners wrestle receivers to the turf every play?

You’d think that that would be the case, but it isn’t always. The damage from a hit largely comes from the head undergoing sudden acceleration. It’s the sudden change in motion that makes the brain slosh around in the skull.

A system where the game comes to a grinding halt every time there is a helmet to helmet hit would ruin the game because the games would be endless.

So basically pull every lineman, linebacker and running back after every play?

All I can say is thank CHRIST they penalized that one guy for jumping up and down after his team scored a touchdown. We need to keep that sort of behavior in check.

The analogy is pretty spot on. I saw the headline and was like, “fuck is he OK? He looked like he was in pain the second half, but not loopy.” He doesn’t remember the specifics of a question some random person asked him after the game. Have you seen an NFL sideline/locker room after a game? It’s a blur. There are

The leap you took by taking “I don’t remember the specific questions I was asked after the game” and turning it into “Cam doesn’t remember the end of the football game” is some crazy-ex-girlfriend-twisting-words-and-turning-nothing-into-a-full-blown-fight-type shit.. I understand the need to write headlines that grab

Someday, people will stop spelling ‘Kap’ with an ‘e.’

Agreed. The abomination that is 96 straight years without an on field murder needs to stop players from killing each other.

The measure of how utterly ridiculous this manufactured “controversy” of kneeling during the anthem is:

Ironically, it seems that an Army Ranger told Kaep to take a knee instead of sitting.

“The mother of idiots is always pregnant.”

Who cares? Tebow is about to make baseball great again.

It is different because no one kneels during the National Anthem, ever. Clearly it’s a protest.

“Miami leads the league in APE (average player erectitude)“

I have an idea: we stop playing the national anthem at sporting events.

I can’t wait until we get a full report on the exact posture of every player during the Anthem. These are exciting times.

I really don’t understand. For me, taking a knee is, symbolically, every bit as patriotic as standing around staring off into space like most players do, maybe more so. It’s not like he is giving the black power salute, scratching his ass, picking his nose, or giving the finger to the flag.
