Speaking of blind spots, would it have used up too many extra megabytes for The Muse’s post listing the Grammy winners to have included such categories as Traditional R&B, Urban Contemporary, Jazz, Gospel, Latin, Latin Jazz, Regional Mexican, American Roots, Regional Roots, Bluegrass, Blues and Reggae?

You know what? Until these Olds realize that 75% of the things they used to do and say have to die off with them, they really should not be allowed to do much. Those old men in the Senate won’t be there in another decade, and there will be no respect for such wayward elders on their way out. Same for the outgoing RIAA…

The end of her performance where she contorted herself bent over and then just stared into the camera while they somehow refused to pan away...I screamed “PAN AWAY” at the TV and had to look away because it was so awkward and painful. I donnnnn’t get it.

Not that the world and the Grammys aren’t still bullshit, but Fiona Apple said that at the VMAs, not the Grammys. 

If anything, while Catholicism’s 1000+ year-old bureaucracy might have initially protected priests, in the long run it’s that penchant for record keeping that helped root it out. Getting abusers out of evangelical churches is going to be a lot harder and face a lot more resistance.
