I did not have posters of famous people as a kid, but I did have one of Jackson for Thriller. I *loved* that album. But since I was a teenager and learned of the allegations, I can’t listen to his music anymore. I also think Woody Allen is shite (although to be fair I’ve always hated his “œuvre”), and can’t watch

This is like finding a roach in your ice cream.

I completely believe his victims. I also think he was a musical genius and love his music.

because its like someone took a crap all over your favorite childhood toy. I dont like my pop culture nostalgia polluted with awful reality

Please stop defending him in any way shape or form. There are no mitigating circumstances with child molestation. He was a scumbag predator whose deeds rest solely on his own shoulders. Of course he had help-but no one was forcing him to destroy these boys’ lives.

He was so messed up by his dad and never really had a childhood; I thought there was at least a possibility that it really was all innocent, that he was just stunted and strange and wanted friends who were childlike.

The way his face lights up when answering “yes” to the question of whether he shares his bed with a 12 year old boy who was completely unrelated to him always creeped me out. He looked so euphoric in that split second, just think of what must have flashed into his head.

He was super talented, probably one of the most talented artists of his generation. Hell, Billie Jean comes on the radio and it brings me back to being in 4th grade, and being so in love with his music. So yeah, his music holds some nostalgia for me.

I remember seeing an interview with Michael Jackson when I was pretty young. It was an hour long, and I would swear it was either Oprah or Barbara Walters who was interviewing him. What I remember quite vividly is that he had his teenage (maybe 14 or 15 years old) live-in boyfriend with him for much of the interview,

Around the time of his trial I came to my own ignorant conclusion that MJ surrounded himself with children because he was, emotionally, just a child himself who had never been allowed to grow up by the people who controlled his career.

This is a good point and Joe Rogan brings it up in his new Netflix special too. He says he knows he’s sexist because if anybody did what these guys did to boys to little girls, entire towns would have overrun their estates, churches, etc and literally murdered these people in the worst of ways.

But he says when he saw

This is what we’ve been saying since this all came out and the legions of sycophants seems to not have shrunk.

He made Thriller.

MJ disgusts me, but he wasn’t the only one. There were some stories about Steven Tyler, Jimmy Page and others paying parents for their under age girls.

The two eldest were born to his wife Deborah Rowe during the marriage so legally they are his children regardless of who is the biological father(s). i certainly don’t think is was Jackson. He wasn’t married to the mother of the youngest but claimed she was inseminated with his sperm. ‘Blanket’ doesn’t look one iota

The MJ fandom is insanely protective. They’re out in full force over this. They’re harassing every journalist who is writing about this on Twitter. I don’t know what to think about this. The first allegations happened when I was just a kid so I didn’t really follow it. All I know is he paid his accusers family $20

I don’t think he adopted the kids, they are his own. Not that it makes it any better.

We’re gaslit by this one because there are no ‘perfect victims’.  The kids were often pimped out by their own parents to Michael.  Money perverted the truth in bribes and gifts.  The same victims who took hush money in the past are now able to tell their stories with some hope of being believed.  But due to the money

Does any of this surprise anyone?

I don’t think I can actually watch thisthis documentary. It disgust me and breaks my heart for these children. How the fuck did it go.on for so long and to make it worse.he was allowed to adopt children?!

But how are people going to keep living in the bubble of there being nothing wrong with their favorite celebrities?
