if tattoos bring you shame... maybe get a coverup?

LOL, you don’t know the NBA then. LeBron wanted a better team because the previous super team—Boston—couldn’t be beat with his one man show Cavs teams of 2009-10.

That Warriors team didn’t have Durant.

Oladipo also has good teammates. Lillard has good teammates. Westbrook has some nice teammates. They didn’t make it out of the first round.

Good thing that a charge isn’t predicated on being set.

LeBron - 4 time NBA MVP, 14 time All-Star, 12 time All NBA first team, 2 time All NBA second team, 5 time All NBA Defensive First team, NBA Rookie of the Year

Yeah, it’s like bad for even a bad taker’s take.

because Deadspin basketball coverage is the only thing worse than Deadspin soccer coverage.

Or, hot takes McGee, its that playoff basketball—especially conference finals basketball—features a defensive approach that doesn’t let you run all your pristine, dumb sets as cleanly as you can in February.

Yes, it’s very stupid.

That’s not the lesson here. The lesson is: don’t make such declarative hot takes after single games! It’s seems like common sense, but apparently not.

If I’m the Cavs, I got to LeBron in the off-season and say, ‘where do you want to go?’. Lets say, he says, ‘Philly’. I then go, ‘OK, talk Paul George into going there and we’ll contact the Sixers and take a bad contract from them and Fultz (and whatever is enough to clear George as well) and send you there in a sign

DWade was way more enjoyable to watch in his prime, but his Finals win in like 2006 or whatever, when he just endlessly threw himself into Mavericks for foul calls isn’t vastly different. It’s didn’t ruin basketball, and neither will Harden.

They’re one of the most hateable teams in recent NBA history. Their C is a goon who regularly (and purposefully) injures star players on other teams, their PF is a cheap-shot artist who prefers targeting men’s ballsacks and talking trash (but the moment he faced adversity, cried and called Durant to fight for him),

That’s not... Ernie Johnson.

How about this deadspin gem:

I love saying ‘you’re only reading the box scores’ and then using one of the most box score derived stats around, the +/-. He’s playing the bulk of his minutes with Simmons, who is having an atrociously bad series.

This is a pretty dumb comment, like on the level of ‘Steph Curry is the MVP, but he’s not the most important player on his team BS’ of two years ago.

LOL, I had same reaction. As I always say, the point about ‘the Shot’ isn’t how clutch it is, it’s that he’s being checked by a slower, white, third round pick in crunch time. The idea of tough defenses in the 80's/early 90's is total myth. It was a track meet back then, nearly on the level of an All-Star game. Guys

LOL, no.
