He was asked if it was, then responded. He didn’t offer the term up.

Agree, but in this instance that’s the question that was asked.

While I agree for the most part, it was the media that asked about it being a distraction. When asked questions about a distraction, the answer will typically also involve the word “distraction”, even if you wouldn’t choose to use that word when discussing it otherwise.

I’m in the tank for Self, so take that as you will, but he’s never not been a stand-up guy about things. He’s suspended players twice, without question, when there were accusations of relational violence, including once earlier this season. When the player this season was quickly and completed exonerated, Self didn’t

If you read what Self said, it’s pretty clear he acknowledges that any “distraction” was less important than the seriousness of the allegations. Nick, are you bad at reading comprehension or is just that you went to Duke? I’m sorry, maybe I repeated myself.

The headline suggests that he’s the one that called it a “distraction” but I don’t think this is an example of the usual “coach downplays seriousness of a rape because basketball is more important” thing. The reporter ASKED if it was a distraction, and he basically responded, “Yes it is, but the police’s work in

This headline, while scrupulously accurate, reads kind of clickbaity to me. I rushed in here ready to unload my spiel about the evils of big time college sports and the assholes who coach it, but in the excerpts here Self comes across pretty well, I think. He answers the distraction question in a way that at least

i guess this is shilling for him, but Jake has some shirts that he has been selling for the past three years with proceeds going to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation

If he’s only going to miss half the season, wouldn’t that be semicolon surgery?

What isn’t wrong with a clip-on?

Nyet.

Yes. Or the Chief Wahoo logo. But you almost wonder if a team would be happier having a player express displeasure with its own logos than saying something like “I am strongly opposed to wearing a Fly Emirates logo, a wholly owned subsidiary of the government of Dubai, which is responsible for unconscionable human

People are going to say it was Marcus Smart, but there’s a 65% chance he took a shot at it and missed.

I don’t know what oyster crackers you people are eating, but the ones I have are fucking delicious.

This is pretty surprising. I mean, the Colts were able to raise a banner under Grigson, what more could you want?

From November through March.

Nope, not a Texas fan. Just a fan of seeing Bautista get decked.

Oh, a Blue Jays post? Don’t mind if I do.

So many of these alternates annoy me. I loved the World Series last year, but it bugged me that both teams wore their alts for Game 7. Royal blue vs. dark blue, for the championship, ugh. That game needed white and grey jerseys, thank you very much.

That cap is very bad.
