I, too, graduated from Eastern Michigan University. The instructors and advisors were wonderful. It is considered a "commuter" school — which may account for the poor athletic support. (Sorry!)

New stadiums mean the owners get control over parking, adjacent eateries/bars, concessions, etc. — all the elements that allow small business owners to benefit from the investment. This deal is a great move for the uber-wealthy Ilitch family. But, once again, the city they say say they love, gets it in the backside.

Mixed feelings about throwback (or alternate) uniforms. One the one hand, cool nostalgia. On the other, a blatant attempt for a club to sell more merchandise.

I thought that Bernier's hat should have been removed. Obstructive. Not unlike Roy's size 96 jersey which the league finally determined was probably unfair.

Roy was an outstanding goalie, for sure. Beat Terry Sawchuk's records. But, like Sawchuk, Roy could be a twat. Like I said...if my son had wanted Roy's name/number embroidered, would've had it done. Fortunately, he now appreciates the heritage of the Red Wings.
