I’ve worked at new car dealerships for the past 10 years, pretty much since I was 18. I’ve worked for only two organizations, but across those organizations I’ve worked for approx. 6 brands. The first organization I worked for is located essentially on a mega lot, and serviced all GM brands, all Chrysler brands, and

I’m definitely doing something similar for my 85 IROC!
Great article!

You kind of have to do the Dutch Reach when getting out of an E30.

For about 2 years I worked at a Chevrolet dealership, and for the past two months, I’ve worked for a Subaru dealership in the same organization on the same property. At Chevy, I have never met a single lesbian customer. At Subaru, I’ve met dozens so far. FWIW

I work in service at a local dealership and I cannot tell you how many times I hear “my salesperson said that was covered by my warranty!”
This is usually when I tell them they need to buy brakes... or any maintenance item that would never be covered by any kind of warranty. I usually then ask for their salesperson’s

I’m not crying, YOU’RE crying

Aside from my nicer daily drivers that I’ve either purchased used or leased new from a dealership, my practice when buying or trading for an old/fun/project car is relatively simple. I’ll buy it in any condition for the right price. My only inhibitor is body work. I can’t do it, so I’d have to pay someone to do it and

Just so you know Jason, I know what you mean, I won’t judge you for little errors here and there. We’re all human <3

I’m fucking pissed. Chevrolet had the perfect opportunity to counter the Ford Bronco and the give us this. Did the market REALLY call for something slotted between the Equinox and the Traverse? I’m no expert but I’d be shocked if that were the case.

I totally would have paid whatever Chevrolet wanted for a real Blazer

I live in PA and find myself in NJ often (friends live there, family works there, often over there to buy cars/car parts, etc) and yes. Everyone in PA shits all over NJ. My common jokes are that NJ is the armpit of the East Coast, and that NJ isn’t actually a state, it’s just the trash from PA that’s become a landmass.

This is what I love to see. There are so many of us Jalops, so many people who romanticize Radwood, that vintage styled new cars HAVE to have a market. Kawasaki has the bug too with their new bike, and I will 100% buy one.

I don’t know about love, but a short list of terrible cars that I really like a lot:

MGBs
Jaguar XJ/S/etc
Jeep CJ7
BMW E36 318ti
Triumph TR6
Chevrolet Celebrity
Chevrolet Malibu (late 70s/early 80s model)

I’m sure there’s more if I thought hard.

Ahhhh, I understand now lol

I think your trans is fucked up then. It’s not a big of a deal as you’re making it out to be.

And the point of that would be...?

My old man taught me the basics of driving stick in a 1986 Chevrolet C30 towtruck in his backyard while I was moving his gigantic tool box into the shed with the towing sling. A year or two later I bought my first stick shift car (also a BMW, a 1980 633CSi) about an hour away from home. It took me two laps around the

I used to work for my dad a few years ago. Part of the morning routine was the coffee run, which required me to go up the highway a bit and back. My 1980 E24 didn’t have cupholders, and he often would call me on my way back to inform me about what we had going on that day. This created a situation where I had to hold

Owner of a similar BMW here. No it isn’t tricky.

I liked this movie...

My first car was my dad’s 1990 325is. Still have it to this day. I keep it in tip top shape, including maintenance items most people forget, such as AFM refurbish and fuel injector rebuilds. Coupled with everything I’ve done to my car, I could probably guarantee that it puts down the same horsepower it did 29 years
