Holy moly, I had no idea!

I’m much simpler, my rig consists of my 2014 Gibson Les Paul Classic that I’ve modified with the “Jimmy Page wiring” (coil tap volume knobs and out-of-phase and series/parallel on the tones). I recently also picked up a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Halcyon (really cool little guy, it’s Mastodon’s Bill

David, I had no idea you were a musician! My second hobby after cars. What kinda gear were you running?

Where’s Miss Mercedes Smart girl?

The car makes peak torque at 7,500 RPMs on a 9,000 RPM redline. You need to really max these things out.

I find this topic quite interesting. I’m at the tail end of the millennial generation. My dad put me on a dirt bike when I was three years old, and ever since I have had an obsession with two wheels. My dad kept about 7 street bikes, and all of them were 70s Japanese “standard style” bikes. I’ve always had an

I share the same sentiment about white cars.

The four speed auto in my 90 E30 felt fine to me. I got 22MPG and was happy. The five speed manual in my 87 E30 was even better, netting me 26 MPG. When I swapped the 5 speed into the 90, I retained the the 4.10 diff so the revs are higher, but it still gets me 23 MPG. Perfectly fine.

I own a 2013 F150. I pretty much only use it for truck stuff, like hauling lumber and such, towing cars on trailers, etc, or for long trips. While the turning radius isn’t as sharp, it’s a much nicer ride than my other cars. But I hardly use it for grocery getting. Could I live with the truck being my daily?

Do you need a mental health specialist?

$3,000 for a decent Grand Wagoneer is pretty good. I’d spend that. Especially knowing that it’s in good mechanical shape after going over everything myself. Grade A job David, I really enjoyed the read! If you’re ever in Philadelphia, I’d love to pick your brain and buy you a beer, or a sandwich, or whatever it is

I sent you an email!

I agree Erik!

First off, Suburbans and Grand Wagoneers and the like aren’t SUVs. They’re trucks. K5 Blazers and Broncos are SUVs. Sport is in the name friends. Like a sports car, you don’t expect it to be luxurious or capable enough to be a people hauler. Likewise, you shouldn’t expect a Sport Utility Vehicle to be luxurious or be

Don’t tempt me!

NP for $6k. I wouldn’t sell my 1990 325is for a hair under $11k. If that means I keep it forever, well, jokes on me I guess hahahaha

Don’t be sorry, I’m not gonna tell you how to do your podcast lol. A lot of it has to do with the lack of visuals. Same reason I never liked audiobooks. But I’m going to keep listening, because I am for sure a big fan. If you’re ever in Philadelphia, drinks on me!

I voted NP because of how cool this thing is, but in reality, I’d really only want to pay $6,000 for one without the front end damage. The miles don’t really scare me if there were records to back up the seller’s claims of meticulous maintenance. This car is truly borderline.

I really love the concept of a Jalopnik podcast but I’ll be honest with you, I was listening to the first one and it almost put me to sleep.

There’s a Suzuka Blue S2000 near me that hasn’t moved in 2 years and is covered in dust and pollen... Part of me wants to reach out to the owner and see if they would sell it for a reasonable price. The other part of me knows I don’t need it lol. Aside from the dust and pollen, it looks to be in good condition, no
