Agreed. There was enough human interest to stop me from drifting away during some of the longer explanations (which I don't mind in moderation, but it think he was pushing it in Seveneves).
I would lose the infodumps but you need some of that for context or the movie is inexplicable…
This would need to be a *fairly* long film if it was to follow the book. And possibly lose big chunks of both halves of the story.

EXACTLY. Before Penny Dreadful I would have said “probably don’t bother”. Now it’s just plain old “don’t”.
One last thing (I promise!): hearing voices is a common human experience. It’s the amount of distress they cause that results in a diagnosis.
