It looks like the firewall just doesn’t have enough space for the big round part of the booster. Whatever that box-shaped bit is seems to be taking it up. The washer fluid can be closer to the firewall without taking up as much direct space on it. The booster probably got moved that far forward because the radiator

That was my thought, if you have power, then you can either back down towards the hinge to cause minimum (or possibly no) damage, or gun it and hope reality is the same as the movies.

Even if the vehicle was stalled out, the incline of the bridge would allow gravity to roll the vehicle back out onto solid ground without harm.

Or Montauk.

If this think could make it to Vermont, you could flip it for 5-figures in a day.

The automakers desperately want you to embrace the tablet, because it's much cheaper for them to source and install, yet charge you a much larger fortune for it, 'cuz testing?

The giant tablet haphazardly slapped onto the dash is the biggest intersection between "things manufacturers think look expensive" and "things a poor person would do to act rich" in recent memory.

It’s amazing how the incongruity of that modern padded steering wheel in the ‘78 F-100 irritates the hell out of me—the Gilbert Gottfried of steering wheels, if you get my drift.

Am I alone in thinking they need to make this whole electric crate motor thing easier for the average enthusiast? I’m thinking a direct swap for the original engine, using the same engine mounts and rough dimensions. Maybe replace the fuel tank for a battery pack. Is this not feasible for some reason?

I appreciate the IDEA, but man, that execution just doesn’t do it for me. Should have left the outside looking closer to factory, the interior looks like they got to the week before they needed to show it and all said ‘Fuck it, just cram the new stuff in there!’ and that tablet stuck to the dash looks.. well, shit.

I must be missing something. What exactly is different about this than a window switch without an auto down/auto up feature? My Hyundai Elantra doesn’t have automatic windows, so I just push “down” and then let go when the window is where I want it, and it stops moving. Is that... all this is...?

That’s your take from this?
Sounds like you need a hug.

Right, I want to give the guy credit for doing what appears to be a fantastic conversion job..... but not that much credit. It’s still a hacked up body.

I know, right? They scienced the shit out of it and I’m stupid enough to consider buying it.

Precisely. I actually kinda want this weird beast. I’d be willing to pay as much as 10 or maybe even 15 percent of his asking price!

I think the price is kind of strong but damn, look at it. He built a functional, single-handle tailgate, even.

This thing is simultaneously neat as hell and no dice as fuck.

Nah mommy and daddy’s money plus florida corruption will make it all right. Got a misdemeanor reckless for triple digits, $150 to the ticket clinic and it disappeared

Lot’s of people seem to want to find out. I don’t get it.
