As far as Disney reaching more mature audiences. I knew kids at university going to see movies like Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.  I think they were already reaching that audience.

Wasn’t most of that stuff in her late teens/early 20s? Not defending any of it, but I’m just glad social media wasn’t around to capture some of the stupid and shitty things I did then.

I think he would have been a great Clark/Superman, but man am I glad there was never a Ratner directed Superman.

I would take almost anything that hasn’t been done yet by Bowie, Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, The Replacements, the Pixies, or They Might Be Giants

Or Baby, It’s Cold Outside was written at a time when it was frowned upon for a single woman to be openly interested in sex and she and the guy are playing a game to get what they both want.

I think the more succinct point is that KUWTK would not exist without the sex tape. And Kim was just copying Paris in the first place.

IMHO, you are overpraising phases 1-3 and judging post-endgame movies and TV because of superhero fatigue.

I would go back to Ben and Kate

Sure, but there are usually many qualified people for those jobs and for every person who got a job through nepotism , there are ten (or a hundred) more just as qualified if not moreso, who did not get that job.

Lena Dunham is a nepo baby? I mean I think her parents had money, which is also a huge advantage, but I did not think they were in the industry/

Dakota Johnson is a nepo baby, but she’s not untalented.

But breaks are huge hurtles for talented artists. Yes, after a several chances if you suck, you will only have the bottom of the barrel if you have any career at all, but you at least get those shots.

While massive crossovers weren’t a thing. Marvel comics in the late 1970's had a lot of ongoing storylines that I, as a 7-10 year old kid would drop in in the middle of (e.g., The Korvac saga in The Avengers). I just thought it was cool.

We would not have had the Jerry Springer show without a politician paying with a check.

But it’s returning with new episodes to Paramount+ so I do not see how it is misleading.

I was just about to post this.

I believe he was only talking about the seasons and not the movie.  The movie is still great.  While I like many early episodes, I generally agree with them that the pre-4th season stuff is inferior, but the movie holds up.

The show only really got great during the 4th season, so while I like stuff before then, he’s correct in believing those were inferior episodes.

Most Weezer fans don’t like Beverly Hills.  Try the White Album or Everything Will Be All Right In The End

If you mean all time completely gratuitous and totally cuttable scenes, sure.
