I’ve tracked the cost per mile of my Prius and, for about 12k miles/year, I've averaged $0.32/mile. It's insanely low, and that includes a battery replacement.

I know a couple Prius owners. The cost of operation is insanely low. Not just the fuel, but other wear items. I don’t know if Priuses will ever wear out the brakes for example and I’ve heard from owner that the tires last forever too.

Toyota has pretty much only made ugly cars the last 20 or so years, with exceptions of course. Heck, even the new edgy looking style they are going for is almost over the top ridiculous. I’m currently dailying an ‘05 camry, and this thing is friggin’ hideous. But runs and drives like champ so I love it. hahaha
