I'm torn on this. If the writer is quoting the subject, then it should be a quote. If he is paraphrasing, then they can feel free to clean up whatever they want. What's funny about this is that the quote makes him seem more real & likable. Most of the time, the fact these players come from other countries and speak…
It looks like he hosed himself. If he doesn't touch the puck a second time while laying on the goalie, it is going in. That would probably have been a goal. It was his extra effort that caused the no-goal.
Spartacock?
It’s almost as if they don’t see the humanity in the kids, and just think of them as the product. For the coaches, schools, etc., they need access, so they treat them as infallible. I doubt they see any of this as morally bankrupt (of course, they haven't for about 100 years)!
Lester seems pretty confidant that the ball isn't going to pop out of the webbing as he's flailing the glove around. He never looks at his glove after taking it off.
Is it just me, or does it look like the guy behind him is holding the owner's decapitated head?
"See if he's any good": Baptista hit .321, with an .810 OPS. There don't seem to be any WAR stats in the Pacific League, though I guess that's expected.
no way that fastball can melt steel beams!

no idea, but please don't steal Bosio! He seems to work wonders
I'm a Cubs fan. Is it just us and Royals fans that hate the Cards?
No matter what my mood is, I get a little smile whenever these come out!
I almost lost a finger a week ago on a Fat Tire can. I twisted it to crush it, and it turned into a ninja star in my hands. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried a different can, same thing. Love Fat Tire, but those cans are deadly.
Didn't Robin Ventura hit a walk off grand slam? He only ran to first, so it's recorded as a single, but he could have kept circling the bases. Funny that it is the second most famous thing he's done!
Oops, misread it- the ball has to touch the runner, not the batter! Dang, that seemed like a crazy rule
OK, this is a thread-hijack. This post got me reading the MLB rules, and I just found a guaranteed way to get a run to score without a play at home. MLB Rule 6.05(n) - runner at 3rd, less than 2 outs, and 2 strikes on the batter. If the runner tries to steal home and the batter intentionally gets hit by the pitch, the…
