Tom Ley, there are some good discussions in the grays. Tend your garden, please.

I completely agree with you.

My hope is that by this time next year, we'll look at Jim T as the most interesting man in football. What if all this hobo schtick is just a ruse, and he's actually the most insightful coach we've ever seen?

Midget strippers taking Monopoly money is the funniest thing I've read in weeks!

Does your company give its employees all of its revenue?

I’m all for labor to get all the money, but that’s not the way it works. Every pro league takes 50% or more of the revenue. The brand has to be worth something.

Because that’s the only game now. Where does the $100s of millions come from - boosters, corporations, TV, and attendance. Let the schools keep the last 2, and open up the first 2 to the players. There will be a very quick pivot out of spending $50 million on a new weight room palace, and instead the ‘star’ players

You make a lot of good points, but I think you’ve overstepped with the “I’m Racist” gauntlet.

But the “amateur student athlete ideal” has always been a class/race issue. Who else but rich white kids could afford to go to Harvard, Eton, etc., back in the late 1800's, early 1900's and play sports for free? The entire reason for amateurism was to stop these well-off kids from having to play poor, or black, or

51? That's a LI!

This has such an easy answer - unlimited booster payments, through a clearinghouse. The athlete gets paid, and has to pay taxes. The school isn’t out any more money. The boosters get to back whichever program they want.

In the 80's driving my mom's Rustang to visit my sister at college, it brokedown. They towed it to a shop, and they mechanic tells me it needs a new thermostat. Being poor at the time, I had a heart attack when he told me it would be "Five Eighty Nine". I didn't have anywhere near that amount of money. He saw my

Don't you mean a 3rd Bear?

Strange that the older I get, the less I can handle corporate lackeys/apologists like Peter King. I'm 51, and spent the last 15 years reading PK every Monday (after really enjoying Dr Z). But, since the Ray Rice fiasco exposed him as nothing more than Goodell's moralizing sock puppet, I can't read anything of his.

“Moped home without a word". Man, that's harsh. They took his car from him, too?

Oh, completely hypocritical, I know! That's why I only sit at the last seat - I don't have to ever get upset at anyone but me.

I will only sit at the last seat in blackjack. This has 2 benefits - you can see everyone else’s cards before you have to act, and you can do whatever you want.

Don’t forget #4. I’ve only done this once, and it was in Vegas!

Good ole Skateless Joe Jackson, eh?

tippi, what works for me is to give up sugar. A few days after going cold-turkey, it cured my gluttony, took (most of) the mood swings away, and stopped the permanent buzz in my head. I’ve been off sugar for almost 3 months, lost 30 pounds including over the holidays, and never felt like I was dieting. Honestly, after
