Trump: I am going to nominate a woman.

Peterson: Neither of us are white.

I don’t know how you missed “being called racist”.

“He is not a racist individual...”

The white community really needs to work on their white on white crime problem.

Dear South Carolina Voters (Black and otherwise), I too, am disappointed in Biden’s first year in office; y’all need to vote better! PS - Remember to whom your electoral votes went, because I sure do.

despite controlling Congress”

As police officers at the time of the incident, Webster, Manos, and Lannon are entitled to statutory immunity as public officials for acts of negligence performed in the course of their discretionary duties. The defendant officers contend that, although plaintiffs allege recklessness or intentionality with respect to

Kansas District Attorney Marc Bennett is clearly a bastard (ACAB!) and probably a shitty person on top of that (Republican!), but this writeup ignores that he’s asking the legislature to change the law from “immunity from prosecution” (which would give him no choice in not filing and get the case punted embarrassingly

That schedule would be golden, primarily out of selfishness. I hate mornings. I’ve always hated mornings. Pre-kids, I could work anywhere from 9AM-6:00PM and it was awesome. However, since I have to get my kids to school by 730 and daycare closing hours have always put a cap a on my day, I have to be a morning person.

Even in normal times school is framed around what’s best for adults rather than kids: If schools cared that much they wouldn’t have kids waiting for the bus at 6:30am so they could get to school for the start of classes at 8am. Classes would start more like 10am and go until 5ish.

I think you may be failing to adequately account for Florida judges and Florida juries, but I grant that it’s probably at least possible on paper a Black claim could prevail.

That’s what I’m wondering. Cuz I read this:

“An individual should not be made to feel discomfort, guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race.”

I’d be interested to see how they word it, and if they accidentally allow Black people to successfully sue if history is taught the way DeSantis wants it taught?

Are you looking for a scientific paper on ways you are making your house look cheap and tacky?

I decorate for me, not Instagram or anyone that visits.  This is even more true after the last 2 years of increasing isolation.

I’ve totally read those copies of Infinite Jest, The Elegant Universe and Don Quixote on my bookshelf. I read them right after reading A Brief History of Time. They only look untouched because a chiropractor fixed their spines.

The “seem” is really the giveaway in the article. As this (and the trophy quote) highlight - it’s not about whether the person reads or values books, it’s about whether they are willing to openly signal that they are One Of Us, part of the great intelligenstia who values books as a thing to spend money on and display.
