The CX-3 is supposed to move up to the Mazda 3 platform to gain some much needed space, but I think it will still be called the CX-3. This announcement is about an all new model for the brand, although it might just be the existing CX-4 getting a more global unveiling.

This reminds me of a clever quip my cousin told me was, “the great thing about mountain bike equipment standards is that there’s so many to choose from.”

I think they’re more worried about how much range it would have driving on sand since dune running has so much drag. 300 miles on the highway could potentially drop to 100 miles on sand.

In Ontario, Canada, OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Sales Regulator) requires all advertised prices to be “all in”. So any advertised price must already include freight, PDI, admin fees, government fees (A/C, tire levy, oil filter levy), OMVIC fee, safety, and emissions test. Additionally, any added product or service

Wasn’t the point of Electrify America to make EVs more accessible and attractive to normal car buyers? Seems like VW is funneling a lot of that money into technology for Audis and Porsches, cars that very few people can actually afford.

During the auction they kept referring to it as the Toyota GR Supra. What is the GR Supra? I’m guessing it’s to do with Gazoo Racing, but does it have the same 382 hp I6 that the Z4 has, because all of the Supra specs revealed so far indicate it’s most powerful variant only has 335 hp.

Will there also be a shark tank at the auto show unveiling so Nissan can jump the shark?

I can’t find the article, but I remember reading about how FCA planned to spend an extra $25-$50 on their interiors starting around 2012, and the difference between before and after is insane. Not to say their interiors offer luxury levels of refinement now, but they were horrendous before.

Go ahead, just don’t you dare LS swap an RX-7, especially an FD!

What the hell is going on with the floor pan here? After the second row foot well, the floor raises 6-8", all but eliminating third row legroom.

Would it be possible for exhaust manufacturers to test the exhausts they build under SAE J1169 and provide certificates to customers to prove to police officers that their exhaust does in fact pass their 95 dB test? Leaving the police officer to determine what is and is not too loud is not fair when the law

Regarding the first shopper looking at the S10: you just aren’t worth their trouble. You’re asking them to jump through too many hoops to sell a basic 16 year old truck. If you’re really motivated enough, give them a call and get the wheels in motion.

IIRC, Mercedes actually disclosed that the lighted emblem take rate was highest for the CLA, and lowest for the S class... I guess money does buy taste.

Front splitter with and without dive planes? Looks like we might be getting a GT500 and a GT500R (KR?) with a more extreme aero package.

Here’s a crazy idea to decrease the cost to purchase and run police cruiser fleets...don’t put them in gigantic SUVs!

I’ve always thought of these engines as the underdog of GM performance options, but their real world applications weren’t great. My dad briefly had a 2007 Trailblazer that he bought off my uncle and then flipped less than a year later because it was worse on gas than his 1997 K1500 with the 305 V8.

For me, a carbon fibre hardtop option on a folding soft top is my ideal set up. I get all the weight savings of the soft top over the RF, with the option to have more security and noise/temperature insulation by popping on the hardtop. Sure, you have to find somewhere to store the top and it’s not deployable at a

I’ve already commented that I don’t think Amazonbasics will be a big brand amongst gearheads that actually buy their own oil, but something else occured to me, which is inventory management.

That’s a very interesting point that I hadn’t considered, thanks. The only problem I could see is that it might be difficult for Quick & Dirt Lube to upsell customers on a higher cost oil change package when the brand is AmazonBasics and the bottles are so generic. Another consideration is that a lot of those shops

I think this is a non-starter. For the VAST majority of car owning public, when their car needs an oil change the go to the local Quick & Dirty Lube and pay $50-$100 for whatever oil change package they get talked into. After that, they don’t give their oil another thought until they glance up at the crooked sticker
