Thank you for this article, it was a wonderful read. I have a brother who has a similar level of developmental disability and I teared up a time or two during this story. He’s a big guy (6' 4") who used to get into fights when people would pick on his friends.

I have a few mechanical close calls over the years, the vehicle that sticks with me the most is a certain 1987 F150. I did not buy this truck, my younger brother did. He found it on CL, showed it to me and I told him to stay away, he took our dad to look at it and bought it.

I worked for a company that operated a fleet of Isuzu cabover trucks that were all gasoline. We didn’t have any issues with employees, they would occasionally end up in NJ where full service pumps are law. We would send 6 or 8 trucks up there for a few weeks for a job and every time at least once an attendant would

Awesome and detailed reply.

Are you trying to tell me that Boeing doesn’t benefit from both government support and subsidy?

I’m dissapointed this has so few stars!

My 2012 focus doesn’t have one, I see the same impact as my 01 Focus when coasting in gear vs out if it. A lit of cars do have stop/start technology but I don’t think manuals usually do.

I had an 84 for a short while. It was my wife’s great grandmothers, had something like 60k on it and was in excellent shape. It got about 20mpg highway, and floated around the road, actually quite comfortable and easy to drive. Took it on a couple road trips and it was rather pleasant. Another family member needed a

As an avid hypermiler in the mid 00s when gas hit $4 a gallon and I drove 1000 miles a week I can tell you that without a doubt it uses less gas to coast in no gear vs coasting in gear down hill. That alone with no other changes gives me about a 10% boost in overall fuel economy.

You only give us 2 days notice? I have meetings all day Thursday and can’t ditch at this point. I live in St Louis and would have taken off the day off to come see you speak on this... Seems like it’ll be very interesting!

I have one of these in my knife drawer, works perfect for paring knives and other general use blades. I’ve used it on some knives for a decade without any damage and a usable sharp knife is only a few seconds away.

But only if it agrees with you and you are non-violent. If you want to occupy and damage a federal wildlife refuge by armed force then you’re fighting the good fight...

So old ford trucks have a habit of a failing ignition switch. They’ll still key power to the fuse block, but won’t fire the starter solenoid.

All the stars to you good sir!

Thanks for another good article (as always Terrell), I really do appreciate your unique perspective and insight.

Congratulations! I thought I had been seeing more of you during the week, but figured I might just be crazy.

I’ve got a 12 focus hatch that is US built and the build quality is shit compared to my previous 01 ZX3 Focus that was made in Mexico, also shit compared to my Canadian made Ford Flex and still shit compared to my Malaysian made Honda bike. Made in the US does not make it better. I loved my previous car and I’ve only

I love the sloths, but curse you for linking to that video of scout crash tests. I know have to think of that when my wife rides with me in my 79 Scout...

It didn’t help the St Louis fans remember him since he was(is?) an asshole. Around these parts the Cardinals are generally very friendly, happy to sign autographs and generally very pleasant and involved in charity work.

I’ve always hated the in trunk placement too, the back of my vehicles is almost never empty.
