Well dammit. This means the carbs have to come off for a rebuild. Float valves are stuck on 2/4 carbs on the CB500 and several firm whacks with a screwdriver didn’t loosen them.
So I’m in KC for work this weekend to execute an upgrade and it went so well yesterday I have nothing to do today. I brought along some toys and put together this pi-top ceed system that’s pretty neat.
We’re going through an epic spring cleaning and the sportwagen makes it easier to take loads to Goodwill compared to my wife’s RAV4.
Im taking a walk over lunch on this beautiful day and there’s a random crowd of adults on their phone in a park.
So it’s a beautiful day here in St Louis, 55 and sunny! Get home from work, change clothes realize that we have a few hours of sunlight left and I have the house to myself.
Good morning Oppo!
Evening OPPO’s! I’m going to be in Seattle for work next week attending a AWS training class. I’ve been there a couple times before but either spent most of it down near Renton (local office of my work is there) or just headed into the mountains to fish.
So I used to ride a bicycle a lot of off-road and on trails when younger and have been toying with picking up a bicycle this winter at my wife’s loving suggestion that I need to do more cardio...
I’ve had my new Jetta SportWagen TDI for a hair over a month and have put about 2k miles on it and love it so far!
So after a couple months of car hunting which involved endless cruising of Craigslist, Autotrader and Facebook I have finally purchased a vehicle. My wife is thrilled I will stop showing her ads and asking her opinion like 6 times a night on whatever random thing I’m looking at right then.
So OPPO, a hair over 2 years ago I bought a 2012 5 spd focus hatch that I thought I would drive until the wheels fell off of it, put them back on and drive some more. It’s about to roll over to 100k and needs nearly much work as it is worth though and I’ve frankly fallen out of love with it. The car needs a new cat,…
While perusing a Craigslist locale I’m going to be visiting for work in a month I found a Sunchaser. Definitely in lousy shape and not my speed, but I know there are some fans around these parts.
My 12 Focus hatch had a slight shudder in the brakes when I bought it a year and a half ago that’s gotten much worse in the last few months. It got bad when I went to Denver right before Christmas and drove a lot in the mountains - not a great time to have questionable faith in your brakes...
I live in the path of the totality so I worked from home and wandered out to the driveway with the Mrs.
I’ve been riding since I was about 12 and love early UJM bikes. I’ve rebuilt several pre-80 Hondas and my first was a 71 CB500K that I absolutely love and have never been able to get rid of and have been riding for nearly 10 years. She is generally quite reliable but breaks down a few times a year (I usually put…
So I have a hobby of resurrecting old (pre 80 mostly) japanese bikes. It is work I enjoy, and even though these bikes are generally quite reliable for their age things still break on them. As work permits I do one or two a year, and have several others follow me home. Some I keep, some I part out to fund others and…
I put the grill, turn signals, and headlights on my 79 Scout last night and I love that look! It’s just begging me to put more and more work into her.
