Welp. That’s depressing

This whole winning money for charity during a pandemic is some real dystopian shit tbh. How long until we have a show where people are going on to pay off their insane medical bills and it’s a “whoops! Sorry, you got the first question wrong, here’s 100 bucks lol”

My partner and I have been echoing this sentiment, how did she make it this far? She seems lovely, but no way she should have been in this final.

The technical challenges need to come back down from orbit, because they are fucking out there. What’s wrong with giving them bakes that require technical skill but aren’t insane? Simpler bakes can have technical merit.

This got my dad interested in the show because he’s such a big western guy. I loved this episode so much. Nice little nods to the movies before and LBY is cute as ever.

I actually love the thought behind the brownies challenge. Something so simple and classic that the bakers are bound to try and fancy it up thus going to far. I think there need to be more challenges like this.

I have a grandmother that lives in Japan and we’ve been trying to go more often (pre COVID) because she can’t make it here anymore being 92 years old. Every time I go I get bags and bags for my students and they LOVE these Kit Kats.

Watching the first episode my partner and I kept saying “how much money? Just tell us how much!” Because we all know they were in for an insane amount.

Spicy Honey, it’s really top notch on a pie.

Damn I didn’t catch that Lydia’s was black-owned, just figured it was an owner who served black people and the Green Book got a tip from a patron.

I was really enjoying it, then the final 30 minutes happened and I was all in. SO hyped to have this fill the Perry Mason void.

Great interview!

Also, I’ve never heard of a newspaper referred to as a “fishwrap” but holy shit it’s the best.

I really loved the ambiguity that they left us with in some of the threads. This show is so great and I’m so excited for a second season. There hasn’t been a series in recent memory where I’ve let it envelop me like PM has.

I could not IMAGINE going to a theme park right now. I’m currently nervous about going camping in a couple weeks because of the unknowns.

Anyone have any recommendations for an ice cream maker? Is the attachment for my stand mixer any good? I see the dedicated machines and they are all SO expensive.

My partner and I had a lot of fun at their cooking classes. Got a solid recipe for some pizza sauce out of it. It was expensive but a lot of fun.

Yeah for sure, not many places around me open for outside eating unfortunately.

Seriously. I’m fine with getting takeout from the place. I just don’t get some of these people JONESING to sit down and get sick.

My favorite BBQ place here in SoCal announced it was not going to reopen because their dining room is too small and they can’t abide by regulations. I appreciate their commitment to staff and the people they serve. But man, fuck this fucking virus.
