“The price difference is more dramatic for those who mainly recharge at stations. Frequent charging station users pay $14.40 per 100 miles.”

No, it’s not. You can do everything in the rule book (and bear in mind those rules came about BECAUSE someone did something that either killed someone or badly damaged equipment, and there’s likely going to be ANOTHER rule added because of this) - but if the person doesn’t pay attention in a hazardous area they’ll get

Ran into that problem where I worked - the extremely expensive and versatile CAD-CAM system was running on WinXP. And the manufacturer of said system was out of business, so no updates were possible.  We attempted to upgrade it to Win7 - but the software crashed consistently no matter what we did. Emulation mode? Haha

Meh. Born in ‘56, so I’m a boomer - I’ve played with Linux a few times, but not for anything serious. My job was PC & Windows support, didn’t feel the need to go to Puppy, SUSE, Ubuntu or any other variant. Fiddled with them a bit, but didn’t see any real reason to switch my home systems over.

The Kia GDI engine problems in the Soul have somewhat soured me on the brand. I got a 2014 Kia Soul ! and love the thing - it’s easily the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Why do I think the original article was written by someone who doesn’t have kids?  ;)

Local Whole Foods had 8 charger-only stations a decade back, right up front with the handicapped parking. I’d go there maybe once every couple of weeks, but almost never noticed any of charger spaces used. Fast forward five years - I’m not going to that store much any more, and stop in. Half the chargers are gone, now

I made an AI farm with a ridiculous amount of tankage, then went exploring for a few days while it filled.

Only thing with the Soul is the GDI engine - some, around 100k, start drinking oil like crazy. Had to have my engine replaced at 102k, it was going through about two quarts every 1000 miles. They covered it under warranty, but I started at about 90k with the ‘hey, it’s started drinking more oil’ thing, and they did an

It’s an interesting concept, to be sure. I’d have liked to have seen it in operation. It’s got a retro-modern look that I really like. (Though when it was designed, it wasn’t exactly ‘retro’, was it?)

This is Gizmodo Media. The home for people who hate anything and everything that other people like or enjoy.

It was a freighter, as I recall.

This...

Want to get rid of them too?”

Just like paying the minimums on a credit card.   You’ll be paying for decades, even if it’s a small amount.

Lo how the mighty Gawker network’s fallen.  They’re at a point where they can’t even afford to buy a clue...

Pain is educational.  I blame playgrounds designed so nobody ever has a boo-boo.

And exceedingly accurate. It’s amazing what people will do for clicks - I’m just waiting for some TikTok challenge that involves serious self-harm and we’ll see how many people go for it.

And air temp and altitude.   If you can’t get enough lift, then you’ve got to wait for cooler temperatures, or lighten your load.

Find yourself an Asian food store, and pick up some Gochujang. Or get it at Walmart. It’s got the same sort of bite and heat as Siracha, at least to me...
