There’s been a fair amount of machinery that I did not want to have intimate relations with, no matter how I referred to it.

Anything to keep the viewer numbers up.

You expect real news from an ‘edgy’ comedian?

Should I have put /sarc in my post? I see the drop in prices and the corresponding distress of the cab cartels as a GOOD thing. Not that it matters - I don’t live in or near NYC. Far too many people in far too small an area for my taste.

“This “purpose” of Uber undermines the cab industry,” - that’s all that matters.

This isn’t about how to ensure Uber complies, it’s how they can kill Uber.

“But we should be able to get around that.”

Very true. Comcast (spit) in our area is now up to 150/35, whereas they were 30/10. ATT fiber MIGHT be hitting our subdivision in a couple of years, but we’ve got buried utilities and talking to a friend who’s an installer they’re doing almost all the installs in neighborhoods where everything is above ground. And

Everyone knows a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into, anyway.

Yeah, so tech. So science. So gadgety.

Gizmodo - “Clickbait, because we care.”

Pretty much. You’ve got to be specific in your two-minute hates.

Only reason I’d get one is if our current 3-year-old TV dies. And with the longevity of TVs today, I’m thinking that’s 4-5 years out.

Those ‘fiery takes’ are smelling more like half-burned Hot Pockets. Giz doesn’t cover much tech any more, and the headlines read like rancid clickbait a lot of the time. Dragging in articles from all the other Gawker subsites that can be somehow construed as ‘tech related’ doesn’t seem to help much.

Wheel of Time series? Oh, hell.

Heh, they already know it’s slippery before I do. Especially on black ice... ;)

At best, it’s a placebo effect. At worst, it’s just money down the drain... almost literally.

If school’s out, you’re probably screwed for the summer... :(

Schwarma... hmmm. (Starts checking google maps for anyplace that might have that locally.)

Things are way too crowded any more. I remember a long while back they were looking at that idea, but it got dropped probably in the mid-90s.
