Fuck.

Yes and no. Sometimes it’s hard to realize you’re being abused... there comes a point where it’s ‘normal’. You emotionally invest in a relationship, and if the woman’s a real manipulator you’ll quickly come to believe that it’s your fault she’s not happy with you.

Same here. Long story, but I was with a woman for a year, and came close to suicide because of it. Took me the better part of five, six years to recover.

If you’re in a relationship where nothing you do is right and the other is consistently abusive....

“Having established the optimal diameter of a water jet required, it gave it a try in anger.”

People use decimate without considering it only means removing 10% - I took it to mean that a hungry Nessie wouldn’t be bothered to count the remaining fish.

Pretty much. Large predators tend to leave holes in the food chain when they’re in one place too long.

Aw, man...

No problem... it was just puzzling. The barge was south of the launch point, so it didn’t seem like it should be ice-covered... unless it was WAY south, with penguins watching the landing.

ICE on the barge?

Now you need to install the Raspberry Pi in the kegerator...

Yeah, there’s really no room for error. The physics of it is very uncompromising...

That’s true - the ticket price will determine it.

Look at the histories.

I think you’re projecting.

As expensive as HSR track is above-ground, I think it’d be even more so below... but it would take care of a lot of right-of-way issues.

I agree, it’s not a bad idea up front.

Pipelines are underground. As of 2003, there were 103 thousand miles in the US of hazardous liquid pipelines, and by the time you include natural gas collection and distribution pipelines you’re looking at over two million miles of it.

It’s all about economics. If there’s no plausible way to make a profit, it’s a bad idea.

Children are MUCH more capable than our culture gives them credit for.
