This. In the before times, a group of no-longer friends and I would go out to a restaurant in the evenings, and we’d play RPG’s or board games for a couple hours. We’d tip well (4-6 bucks each, so they’d get $20-30+), make sure we’d get food and drinks (some alcoholic but other times just soda), and tell them to kick

Back in the before times, we were vacationing and for various reasons, wanted to watch a Monday Night Football game at a sportsbar/grill type place, but didn’t want to get rip-roaring drunk. I told the server straight off that we would be ordering a couple beers each and a few plates of food slowly over the next 3 or

I’d like to know the mechanism behind the mini Stay Pufts. ie. in the original movie, Ray accidentally summons Stay Puft as the final form of a destructive god. Why would mini ones turn up in the new movie?

People who punish the server for things that are out of the server’s control (a) are complete fucking assholes and (b) have obviously never worked as a server.

People who say things like “I’m sorry the server gets screwed on this” are not just assholes but cowards too.

I once looked at a house, a standard rectangular post-war bungalow. Or at least the main floor was rectangular. The basement was L-shaped, and the walls around the L sounded rather hollow. We tried asking the selling realtor about that who merely retorted “I don’t know what you’re talking about, no one else noticed

I once gave serious thought to renting a room in an apartment where the room was obviously a walk-in closet with a cot. That wasn’t what bothered me, though, it was the fact that there was a window that went from the living room into the closet. A full-on double-paned window with a latch. The least disturbing

Wasn’t that the case with DS9 and TNG? I thought the explanation there was that starship and starbase crews had different uniforms.

You’ve cherry picked your own example. Is there a source for this example? Is it part of a peer-reviewed study of young people claiming to be traumatized by racial slurs? It’s interesting that you cite the cynical weaponization of cancel culture on the right, but reserve quite a bit of venom for younger people. What

“Cancel culture” is just a term Republicans made up because it’s starting to affect them. Whenver the church or “moral” group calls for boycotting they never call it cancel culture. Remember when relgious nuts burned the Beatles records becasue John Lennon said “we’re more popular than Jesus”?

What bugs me the most about the voices calling for an end to “cancel culture” is their attempt to paint it as something only bad awful left people do, and to suggest it’s something recent. When in fact ostracizing people for their words, actions, or even just rumors is quite ancient, and heavily practiced by

He should’ve been give the keys for that whole trilogy so yeah, I’m hoping he gets his own trilogy.

I really do hope his next movie after these two is the SW movies. Trolls, racists, bots, and incels be damned.

Did Last Jedi have flaws, yes, but IMO the least amount of the entire sequel trilogy. Every time I rewatch it, the story and its strengths grow.

At this Chinese takeout restaurant, the customer is not always right

I thought the CGI Tarkin was decent, but I thought they should have just cast Charles Dance.

Nah I’m with you...They really don’t look that alike to me, and nothing I’ve seen Sebastian Stan in has made me think ‘this guy should be Luke Skywalker.’

This is an article and website dedicated to pop culture ephemera. Labeling anything here "pointless" is pointless. Including this.

Having seen it twice in theater - just to see if I this fancy new 3D thing added ANYTHING of value that I missed in 2D to help me understand the hype over it - I can say Avatar has absolutely Zero re-watching value.
