I definitely hate them irrationally. It’s not so much their music as their very existence that annoys me— but not in any specific way. I couldn’t even tell you what they look like or really name which songs are theirs. Only tell you that I don’t like them. Which is admittedly just an excercise in wanton hating.

I’m sure your husband has his strengths, but damn. You had to be willfully obtuse to be a sentient human and miss that one.

So many wondrous things this morning.

OMG it’s the Buddhafield cult leader!

I think the idea is that incestuously raping a child as opposed to an adolescent warrants mental health treatment cause you’re obviously a sick pedophile as opposed to a wanton, rapist creep? Or it’s just blatant self-protection for some disgusting state lawmaker(s) own behavior.

I think the overdeployment of Godwin’s Law as a means of ridiculing Hitler comparisons does more damage than all the false comparisons themselves. That we hesitate to name associations with Nazi-esque fascism and white supremacism when we see them employed so directly is one of the more disgusting truths of this

Trump just shared this damning gif of Hillary trying to rig the grape squeezing process, and proving she doesn’t have the stamina for the job

I say this pretty often here, but I’ll say it again. I really think the beauty about visitations from dead loved ones is that it doesn’t matter whether they’re “real.” There are no other stakes, only that mix of emotions stirred by the encounter.

The nice thing is that Murphy is EP and often a director on American Crime Story, but for the first season he left the writing duties to others. If he does the same this go round I think it’ll be just as successful. There’s certainly plenty of material in Douglas Brinkley’s book. But I honestly doubt any TV show could

I love it!

It’s my middle name. Well, mine’s with a K— I have yet to come across anyone with the name Kaleb. But I also have never met a not-insufferable Caleb, so there ya go.

Lacking the “real” word legendaryness, I think legendry definitely works. Legendry is just a collection of legends. Those legends need not be in a book to be collected— here they are collected in a literal human body. They become readable as the individual’s legendary nature/reputation. In this instance, by virtue of

Really? Katrina lacks the personal stakes of the OJ trial? Only if you believe racialized violence, natural disasters, and ambivalence toward the suffering of people of color have less substantial impacts on people’s lives than the racist criminal justice system and domestic violence. I think losing homes, losing

Look, she has done harm against others no doubt. Azelia needs to take responsibility for the harm she does and the vitriol she puts out into the world. That’s on her.

Azelia is denied sympathy because she’s a black woman publicly suffering the traumas that black women are expected to bear silently and appreciatively. We don’t even know the extent of the trauma and abuse she’s undergone.

But it’s only barely a majority at 26 states that bind electors to the popular vote. And we haven’t really had to enforce those before, right? So, in the midst of major national scandal and an imploding party, if large numbers of electors ignored their states’ rules couldn’t we see a major test on our enforcement

Joe is definitely cooler than Nick, who wants so desperately to be loved. And I like Joe’s music better...

Jesus, he actually calls it “the funniest.” He’s admitting that he gets specific enjoyment out of the transgression. Not just the acts of looking and touching but the knowledge that those are violations— and in this case that these young teens were uncomfortable.

I don’t think it’s the least bit odd to take note, especially as adolescents who are concerned about their own bodies. But I definitely think asking someone that question is fucking bizarre.

Is Joe Jonas the least annoying or the most annoying of the Jonases? Do we have the technology to find out once and for all?
