I find it fascinating that before her death she was constantly being criticized for what is now her "bravery" in comedy. I'm not saying that Joan wasn't a pioneer for women in comedy, but that's certainly not what she was doing here. The shift in public opinion is intriguing to me.

I have met her, and she was lovely. However, I maintain being "difficult" (although I had no personal experience with that) no matter what profession you're in, is going to make people not want to work with you, Oscar or no.

Me too - I wasn't on the Mars bandwagon until I saw him perform (his musical performances) on SNL last year. He and his band just look like they're having so much fun up there. It's infectious.

Agree! My husband and I were lying in bed together, about to fall asleep and he just asked me. There was no ring, there was no grand gesture. It was just us in a quiet moment, and it was perfect.
