I thought demeaning objectification was also part of the point?

What about the point that it’s degrading whether it’s done to a woman or man?
Huh. I read it completely differently. I read it as don’t let someone bully you into doing something you aren’t sure about. If you want to say no to the D, then for gosh sakes, say no.
Yeah- I’m surprised how many people thought that this woman was doing so much good. I think she’s hurting the cause by coming on too strong, too early in most of these examples.
Consider the possibility that people did not respond to your concerns in the way you wanted them to because you send them long-assed missives and consequently came across as hostile and rambling.
I always look forward to a good Kara Brown restaurant review, and HELLO JANE MARIE & GOLDIE!!! So good to see Jane Marie again <3
From what I hear, a lot of people won’t take you seriously as an artist unless you have a fine arts degree, preferably at the graduate level. (Art history, is apparently not considered good enough - has to be a BFA or curators turn their nose up. At least according to an artist friend of mine.)
Can't wait to send my daughters to college...
It was the AIDS. Definitely the worst thing.
I’m still conflicted over what was worst about the 80s, the clothes, the music, or the politics.
My parents always smoked, it was an afternoon thing (after lunch bone, or ALB time kid get outta here and play in your room!) that I didn’t really understand, but I knew I had to kick rocks after lunch and dinner for around a half an hour to an hour. But when I came back down? The haze was different. This wasn’t just…
So, it’s funny that right before this happened, my friend who runs the Adipositivity Project got her Facebook page taken down (for the millionth time)—-but everyone wants to see KK post a censored selfie, but heaven forbid there exist a picture of a naked fat FAT FAT woman on the internet. Hell, A GROUP PHOTO of a…
Thank Dog, for living in California, and plenty of decent, inexpensive wine. Of course when the drought ruins the crops in wine country upstate, we will all be either in tears, or in jail for murdering each other.
No. No there isn’t. What blend can even come close to a Balvenie portwood? Or the smokey campfire perfection of a Laphraoig or Lagavulin? NONE I SAY!
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I would wear those to kick over hipster drum circles.
For whatever reason this reminds me of early 00's fashion and I am against it because early 00's fashion made everyone look awful
We’ve always been told we’re slackers, we’ll never make it as far as our parents did. We got trophies based on merit, not for participation. We weren’t coddled. We were NEVER special snowflakes. The Millennials have been told that they shit crushed pineapple wrapped in rose petals since the day they were born.
They also don’t retire anymore because they want ALL THE MONEY, making it impossible for Gen Xers to get promoted to get SOME of the money.
Oh my God. My boss called a staff meeting about a month ago to tell us all about the millennials and how they were studied. (He’d just learned about this.) He kept going on and on and on about how special they thought they were and they were “always connected with the internet.”
