Are these values taking into account exchange rates, cost of living, etc.? Even so, I am sure the payout amounts have a lot more to do with local laws/regulations, than any type of favoritism.

Seriously! That is the only picture I have ever seen of an yellow RX-8 that looks decent. That Japanese fad of bright yellow cars in the early 2000s was terrible. Remember the semi-matte yellow IS300? Awful!
