Whenever I meet someone with a very expensive car with Montana plates, I love asking them “wow, I can’t believe you drove your [Enzo, P1, etc] here all the way from Montana?” Most people respond with a laugh, but the last guy I did that too simple responded “I only register it in Montana to evade taxes.”

Doug never lived in Atlanta. You must be thinking of Georgia, the country located in the Caucasus mountain range.

I loved the article. Loved it. The only problem, though, was that the laughs ended too soon. I wasn’t ready to move on. Then you came in with your hilarious comment and kept the laughs going. Thank you, Sir.

Fun fact - if there are only two pillars, they are usually called A and C pillars!

I’m biased, but I love my current combo.

I prefer GT Three-Fiddy

I think you are thinking of the Veyron. I dont think Pagani made a hundred Zondas total. It is a very cool car. If you are ever in rural Italy, I highly recommend swinging by the factory. The “production line” is basically a garage with a few dudes and ladies putting this stuff together by hand.

This is actually a pretty good price for a clean FD. Prices are definitely on the rise, with stock cars with 50Kish miles going for 25K+. If you wanted bone stock, this wouldn’t be a bad deal. Very unlikely this car has its original engine and seals, however.

I’ve seen others die at track events, including at Road Atlanta. I know people want to get on track as cheap as possible, but I implore you, don’t go out on a course like Road Atlanta without a full cage, seats, harness and Hans. Please.

I don’t blame crazy condiment lady at all. I would have been equally pissed. The issue sounds like a management problem (they don’t order enough cups and then incentivize the cashiers to not use the obvious backup solution, a soda cup, for fear of losing their jobs), not a problem with the customer.

Man, I forgot you had that base CTS. What a great V6 engine.

I have no idea what the fate will be for the new V (“V3”), but I can tell you the V1 and V2 see tons of track time. This assumes your definition of “track” includes the drag strip, of course. The V crowd loves the drag strip as much as any muscle car enthusiast.

Came by to suggest Basewars (What more could you want than customizable robots playing baseball) and of course, Blades of Steel

Let’s be totally clear here. Driving on the track can be equally dangerous as well. I have seen two people die at driver events over the years. Both were tracking cars woefully under-equipped in terms of safety equipment to be driving at triple digit speeds. One poor soul was driving with stock seatbelts!!

wow so ugly. That’s the worst rendering I’ve seen of the ND platform so far. Surely it will look much better than that.

Here’s a fun story along these lines: I once went to the Skip Barber 3-day advanced driving school at Mazda Raceway and one of my classmates had never driven stick before! For those who have not been to one of these programs, the Skip Barber 3 day school is an awesome program where they plunk you down in what is

Trust me, based on the crew that she hangs out with, I think its safe to say that she’s probably not someone you would ever want to spend more than 5 minutes around.

Well, let’s be totally clear here. If you actually remained steadfast in your libertarian views through your financial hardships, you wouldn’t have succumbed to the “weak and stupid” benefits of the bankruptcy process, but instead accepted the outcome of your freedom of choice to make decisions that lead you into

PedalHead: please don’t feel shame for a second that you haven’t memorized the first few letters of the PA plate. Doug is literally the only person on Earth who knows this information. If anything, you should be proud that you haven’t memorized the issuing order of a random state’s license plates and can instead

I used to work with him. Consummate professional, a marketer’s dream, and a consistently fast driver. I suspect that if he had the time and support in his youth, and immense financial backing necessary to make it in the big leagues, he would have ended up with a LeMans, Indy, or Monaco notch on his belt.
